Thursday, November 14th I attended the first ever M&J Trimming Project DIY Workshop
Project DIY is a monthly subscription box delivering runway and street style inspired DIY. Check them out at mjprojectdiy.com @mjprojectdiy #mjprojectdiy
Project DIY Lead Designer, Michelle Levy, (top photo in front of room & 3rd photo, above samples) led the session and shared some great DIY tips and tricks. She also shared some great ideas on how else to use the fabulous embellishments from M&J Trimming to customize our projects. I especially loved learning to use the jump ring opener; it is going to make working on projects much easier.
We received the following:
Project DIY Starter Kit. This contains a Needle Nose Plier, Wire Cutter, Chain Nose Plier, Jump Ring Opener, Assorted Clasps, Earring Hooks, Jump Rings, and Chain Extenders.
Autumn in New York project box which contains three DIY projects: Horseshoe Wrap Bracelet, Suede Tassel Keychain and Equestrian Charm Necklace.
I worked on the Equestrian Charm Necklace; a separate post with a close up of the finished piece to follow.
It looks like Project DIY will be offering a monthly workshop…so stay tuned!
BTW - The M&J Trimming Crew are awesome! So helpful. Carlos (bottom left photo) was featured on the M&J blog recently giving a tutorial for a Gucci inspired belt - blog.mjtrim.com
